True enough, the next day after he proposed, we went to one of the few restaurants that we have shortlisted to enquire and the date we wanted was already taken. HORROR! It was 1 year and 2 months before the date we want!
So we asked for alternative dates and was planning to settle for the week after. Then we decided to just go and survey others to see if there's anywhere else that we like that is available on the date we want. Now we are both Christians and we don't go to fortune teller whatsoever to get a date. We chose the date solely for the significance of it. So we were quite okay to just change if there is a need to.
After surveying, we either do not like the interior/vibe that we get there or we don't like that they open up the area for walk-in customer if we do not fill the hall. We are not being selfish since we will probably need only 30 tables and we can't expect them to not serve other customers if there were but we did not like the idea. So these were also out of the question.

Now back to the first one that we saw, of all the places we have seen, it is the best since it has gold and white theme. So we were quite fixed on this one. However, we did not book the place as the menu wasn't out yet and we were not sure of the updated price. Thank God we did not cause the price increased by about RM150 for next year. It completely busted our budget as the sole reason we chose restaurant over hotel is because it is cheaper.
Now with that news in, we had to scramble around and look for new place again. So we went to look for other restaurants we did not visited ie Ming Palace and Stonebay. The fiancé said no to Ming Palace because ours will be a small banquet so our guests will have to walk past another wedding, a much bigger and grander than ours before coming to ours. Also because the stage was blocked. Although the price is attractive, we had to say no. Stonebay on the other hand will host about 3-4 weddings in a place and I wasn't really keen on it.
Finally, I talked to the fiancé about Vistana Hotel. If we are to spend so much, why not spend a little bit more and make it convenient and comfortable for all? His family and relatives can stay at the hotel since they are from outstation and everyone can get ready for the banquet in the room. So after considering the convenience we can get, we have finally decided on our venue!
Such big changes but through it all, it was a very exciting experience and I am glad I am going through it with my fiancé. Whatever different opinions we had, we sat down and talked it out.
Now venue is done for but there are tonnes of other things not! So will keep on updating as we go on.
