Kitchen Organisation

We have been house hunting for a while now and finally we found one that we like and his parents like too. Nothing is confirmed yet but if we are able to get this house, we will need to slowly make the house our home, one step at a time.

Every time I enter a house, I first go to their kitchen. If I like the kitchen, it is a pass from me. The boyfriend will look at the living room, rooms and toilets. I will linger in the kitchen and envision myself in there. I will also envision Thermomix in there and look for places to put my Thermomix and also oven and a pressure cooker. These are the three things I expect to bring in. And a big fridge.

So I kind of like the last house we saw as I can imagine what I can do with that house. I have also been going around looking for ideas to make that house work.

I found this kitchen organisation blogpost and I am loving it. Will definitely look at this before I plan on how to revamp the kitchen to fit my needs. =D I was talking to the boyfriend about some stuff like the little pantry I can have at the dining room area and he said it is possible! But these will need us to confirm on getting the house. And I don't expect to be able to get my dream house so soon as we will need to fix one thing at a time when we have the budget!

More updates when we confirm the house!

The beginning

I love reading organizing tips blogs. They are often from the western countries as Malaysians don't organize that much I suppose. However, houses in USA especially the suburban area (where most of the bloggers I read live) are HUGE.

They have plenty of rooms, pantry, HUGE kitchen, backyard, living room, mud room, garage (and many other rooms) that unfortunately is rare or even non-existent here in Penang, Malaysia. Most of our houses are between 700sqft to 1200 sqft. Most of us have 3 rooms, 2 toilets, average size kitchen and living room and unfortunately, tiny toilets.

Hence, I decided to start a blog where I take inspiration from the other organizing blogs and attempt incorporate their organizing ideas to our own little home in Penang. This also includes sourcing for the organizing materials and containers with reasonable price tag here. This may be a inspiring project for me to get myself organized before I get my own place.

My current house (where I live with my family) is about 850sqft with 3 rooms and 2 toilets. Space is very limited especially since my mother is a hoarder. I will attempt to organize one space at a time and hopefully make more room for us.

Hope you enjoy your stay here with me!
